The Giant Reign SX is built for riders who prioritise descending performance and control on the roughest trails. The ALUXX SL aluminium frame uses Giant’s high-strength alloy and advanced welding techniques to deliver durability and stiffness where it matters, without unnecessary weight. Integrated downtube storage adds practicality for tools or spares on longer days out.
Maestro suspension provides 165mm of active rear travel, designed to stay sensitive under braking and stable when pushing hard through rough sections. The trunnion-mounted RockShox Vivid Base shock offers a longer stroke than previous versions, improving small-bump performance and consistency on repeated hits.
Up front, the RockShox BoXXer fork delivers 190mm of controlled travel, giving the Reign SX a confident front end for steep chutes, drops and high-speed impacts. The long-travel setup is balanced by a mixed wheel size configuration, with a 29” front wheel for rollover and stability, and a 27.5” rear wheel for quicker direction changes and easier movement through tight sections.
Flip Chip Maestro 3 adjustment lets you fine-tune the bike’s geometry to suit terrain and riding style. Riders can switch between settings to alter head angle, seat angle and bottom bracket height, helping adapt the bike for bike park laps, steep enduro stages or rough natural trails.
The microSHIFT Advent X drivetrain keeps things simple and robust, offering a wide 11–48T gear range that suits steep climbs without adding complexity. TRP EVO DH-R brakes provide strong, consistent braking with large rotors for control on long, sustained descents.
Finished with wide Giant TRA 2 rims and Maxxis Assegai tyres front and rear, the Reign SX is set up for grip, support and reliability. It’s a purpose-built enduro machine for riders who want confidence and composure when the trail points straight down.
Occasionally, without notice, manufacturers change product design and/or specifications.

* Mountain bikes are sized differently to road bikes. Typically, they are sized in inches as the first MTBs were produced in the USA. European brands like Lapierre and Haibike like to use centimetres for all their bikes. The measurements of their mountain bikes doesn’t match their road bikes but are like a simple conversion from the inches measurement. This is why we have included cm measurements in brackets for the Mountain bike column.
Read our bike size guide for more information on sizing.
