- User Interface: TQ LED display with Bluetooth & ANT+ connectivity
Power comes from the lightweight TQ-HPR50 motor, delivering 60Nm of torque with an exceptionally quiet and natural ride feel. Unlike many e-MTB systems, the TQ drive blends seamlessly into your pedalling, offering assistance when you need it without overwhelming the experience. The compact LED display, mounted in the top tube, provides key ride information and connectivity via Bluetooth and ANT+, keeping the cockpit clean and uncluttered.
Suspension is handled by Fox’s proven Performance series, with a 150mm travel Fox Rhythm 36 Float fork paired with a 145mm Float X rear shock. This setup balances climbing efficiency with trail-smoothing plushness, giving you confidence on both technical ascents and fast, rough descents. Trek’s ABP suspension design ensures active braking performance, while the Boost148 rear spacing and UDH hanger keep the frame durable and future-proof.
The SRAM Eagle 70 T-Type drivetrain brings the precision and strength of SRAM’s latest Transmission system, with smooth 12-speed shifting even under load. Braking is taken care of by SRAM DB8 4-piston hydraulic discs, delivering powerful, controlled stopping. Bontrager Line TLR wheels paired with 29x2.5” Bontrager Brevard Pro XR tyres offer grip, stability, and tubeless-ready reliability. A Bontrager Line dropper post rounds out the build, giving you on-the-fly saddle height adjustment for technical sections.
Weighing just over 21kg, the Trek Fuel EXe 8 Gen 2 strikes the perfect balance between lightweight trail agility and the added confidence of e-assist. Whether you’re tackling steep climbs, chasing flow on your local trails, or venturing into all-day backcountry adventures, this bike delivers a refined, natural e-MTB experience.

* Mountain bikes are sized differently to road bikes. Typically, they are sized in inches as the first MTBs were produced in the USA. European brands like Lapierre and Haibike like to use centimeters for all their bikes. The measurements of their mountain bikes doesn’t match their road bikes but is like a simple conversion from the inches measurement. This is why we have included cm measurements in brackets for the e mountain bike column.
